After the success of Jagiełło pod... prysznicem, a book about polish history, the author decided to write a book about geography. Jajecznica Kolumba (a pun upon Columbus' egg) tells the stories of the great explorers and their voyages. Erik the Red, Marco Polo, Columbus, Magellan and Cook - along with many others. In such a book, maps are a very important element. I chose to begin each chapter with a spread that would feature the portrait(s) of the explorer(s) whose stories were told in the chapter, as well as map of their journey(s), drawn (more or less) in the style of the times when it took place.
